Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) issued the following statement about the 70-acre Weber fire in the Pike National Forest near Lake George in Park County.

“I would like to thank the firefighters for their hard work in getting this fire contained so quickly. With wildfires burning in Colorado and New Mexico right now, we all feel a sense of anxiety and heightened concern over any fire.

“According to local authorities on the ground, the fire is fully contained, but hot spots remain. The Park County Sheriff has issued a county-wide burn ban. I ask that everyone strictly follow that ban to minimize the risk of any more wildfires.” – Doug Lamborn  (CO-05)
