House Committee Holds Legislative Hearing on Young’s Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. –The House Natural Resources Committee held a legislative hearing today on three bills – including Alaskan Congressman Don Young’s legislation, H.R. 3472, the Pirate Fishing Vessel Disposal Act. This legislation, if passed, would give NOAA and the Coast Guard additional options for disposing of pirate fishing vessels who have engaged in Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing (IUU).
