Congressman Labrador Introduces Idaho Officials at a Natural Resources Oversight Hearing on State Forest Management

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Idaho First District Congressman Raúl Labrador today introduced Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter and Chairman Silas Whitman, from the Nez Perce Tribe, at the House Subcommittee on Public Lands and Environmental Regulation oversight hearing about state forest management. The focus of the hearing was on the future success of these forest lands and how the states can sustainably manage their forests.

The focus of the hearing was on the future success of these forest lands and how the states can sustainably manage their forests. These include improved forest health, reduced risk of wildfire, recreation, wildlife habitat and job creation in industries such as timber.
