Cramer Submits North Dakota Petroleum Council Economic Impact Study Into Congressional Record

Washington, DC- Today, Congressman Kevin Cramer (R-ND) submitted into the Congressional Record, the recently released North Dakota Petroleum Council Economic Impact Study conducted by North Dakota State University’s Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics. The oil and gas industry contributed more than $30.4 billion to the economy of North Dakota and added nearly 60,000 jobs in the state in 2011.
Today, Congressman Kevin Cramer (R-ND) submitted into the Congressional Record, the recently released North Dakota Petroleum Council Economic Impact Study conducted by North Dakota State University’s Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics. The oil and gas industry contributed more than $30.4 billion to the economy of North Dakota and added nearly 60,000 jobs in the state in 2011. “The timing of the study was fortuitous. It provided a perfect tool for today’s oversight hearing on ‘America’s Mineral Resources; Creating Mining and Manufacturing Jobs and Securing America’. I was able to once again, highlight the need to apply the model of economic success in North Dakota to the country.” Congressman Kevin Cramer serves on the Natural Resource Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee. Cramer also is a member of the Energy Subcommittee of Science, Space and Technology, and both the Energy and Environmental Regulations Subcommittees of Natural Resources. ### |
