WASHINGTON, D.C. –During today’s House Natural Resources Committee hearing on the White House Council on Environmental Quality’s (CEQ) FY 2013 funding request, Alaskan Congressman Don Young used his time to ask CEQ Chair Nancy Sutley about her agency’s funding sources as well as the Obama Administration’s National Ocean Policy.

“I know if I were a fisherman, I damn well wouldn’t give you information because you’d use it against me,” Rep. Young said during today’s hearing. “I really don’t like your organization to begin with, so let’s make that perfectly clear. I do believe you overreach. And we don’t know where your money comes from. And you put down policy. And I don’t think the policy is vetted with necessary people who are directly involved to the point where it makes good sense.”
