Dan Brouillette is battle-tested and will help implement President Trump's Energy Dominance agenda. I worked alongside Kate MacGregor during her time on the Natural Resources Committee, and she will be a valuable asset at Interior. President Trump has nominated some extremely talented people to fill these very important positions, and I look forward to their quick confirmation by the full Senate." Senate Western Caucus Chairman Steve Daines (MT): "Dan Brouillette, Kate MacGregor and James Danly are great picks by the Trump administration that value our Montana way of life and understand the importance of creating good paying Montana jobs. As Chair of the Senate Western Caucus, I’m glad to have helped advance these important nominations and I’m confident they will help promote President Trump’s pro-Montana, pro-jobs, and pro-energy agenda. I urge swift Senate floor action on these nominees." U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chairman Lisa Murkowski (AK): "I strongly support the nominations of Mr. Brouillette, Ms. MacGregor, and Mr. Danly. Senator Ted Cruz (TX): "I applaud my Senate colleagues on the Energy and Natural Resources Committee for taking steps today to fill three leadership vacancies crucial to continuing America’s energy renaissance and ensuring reliable and affordable energy for all Americans. I’m especially pleased to see the committee move forward with the confirmation of another Texan to help lead the Department of Energy. Chief Rules Officer Dan Newhouse (WA-04): "Kate MacGregor understands Interior priorities for Central Washington, and I look forward to working with her to improve management of our public lands, update water infrastructure throughout the West, and address the crisis of missing and murdered indigenous women. I am hopeful the Senate will swiftly confirm her, so she can start in her role as Deputy Secretary at Interior."
