WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (KS-02) voted for three bills, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives this week, to enhance our nation’s energy security and create a better environment for job creation. Congresswoman Jenkins released the following statement after votes today:
Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (KS-02) voted for three bills, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives this week, to enhance our nation’s energy security and create a better environment for job creation. Congresswoman Jenkins released the following statement after votes today: “This week the House passed three energy bills that will reduce energy costs for hardworking American families, move this country forward on job creation, and protect U.S. energy production. Not only do these bills make the government more efficient by curbing bureaucratic regulations, they expand our energy resources and could bring the United States $1.6 trillion in additional federal revenue over the next 10 years. Reliable and affordable energy is essential to our nation’s economic growth, and puts us on a path toward energy independence.” Note: The three House-passed bills include: H.R. 1900, Natural Gas Pipeline Permitting Reform Act,H.R. 1965, Federal Lands Jobs and Energy Security Act, and H.R. 2728, Protecting States' Rights to Promote American Energy Security Act. # # # |
