Pearce: Standing With America's Sportsmen

Washington, DC - Today, U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce voted for H.R. 3590, the Sportsman’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) Act of 2013.

Washington, DC (February 5, 2014) - Today, U.S. Congressman Steve Pearce voted for H.R. 3590, the Sportsman’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) Act of 2013.

“Our nation has a rich heritage of recreation in the great outdoors,” said Pearce, “Hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities are especially important to New Mexico.  Today’s bill combines a number of simple and commonsense proposals for America’s sportsmen.  It modifies certain regulations that have negative impacts on outdoor activities, modernizes permitting processes, encourages use of public lands for hunting and fishing, and allows funding for public target ranges.  The SHARE Act will ensure the next generation can continue to enjoy exploring America’s outdoors, and I am proud to support it.”

H.R. 3590 passed the House with strong bipartisan support, 268-154.
