Washington, D.C. (January 23, 2013) – Today, Oklahoma Congressman Markwayne Mullin announced his membership with the Congressional Western Caucus. The Caucus is in its twentieth year of advocating for Western and rural interests in Congress.

"I'm excited to be joining the Western Caucus," said Congressman Mullin. "It is my belief that this caucus will be a good forum for issues important to our state and Oklahoma’s 2nd congressional district such as pushing for increased energy development and fighting against overregulation and Washington red tape on our federal lands and communities. Congressman Markwayne Mullin is a freshman member representing the 2nd Congressional district of Oklahoma. He serves on the House Committee on Natural Resources and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
