WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Dan Newhouse (WA-04) released the following statement on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) heavy-duty truck emissions rule.

“The Biden Administration is continuing its attack on vehicle choice for American businesses, consumers, and industries alike with yet another forced transition to electric vehicles,” said Chairman Newhouse. “This misguided rule will result in increased costs for all supply chains and maintain our reliance on foreign adversaries, like Communist China, for the critical minerals needed to produce so-called zero-emission trucks. Once again, bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. wrongly think they know what is best and continue their attacks on high performing, lower cost internal combustion engines. The Congressional Western Caucus strongly opposes this rule and the Biden Administration should withdraw it immediately.”
